The European Commission launched a logo campaign to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the European Union (2007).
The logo? 'together since 1957'...
Our reaction? Enough! Enough of this empty communication, enough of citizens not understanding this overarching 'matrixausor'.
A lot of 'enoughs' later, we (yes, we're more than one...) came to a series of conclusion :
- We're not warriors or suicide bombers
- We still want to make our point and take what's best of europe, apart from peace and a more than decent meal everyday (mind you, do we know how many persons do not eat properly in Europe?), and that is : learning about the others, about the OTHER, about whatever we (you?) want.
But we want to do it in this way : thoughtful, funny, sharp, radical, but not too radical.. let's say radi-soft!
So whatever since 1957 is a blog for Radi-Soft Europeans, people who believe Europe is good but that it is not quite good enough to be a dream come true.
